GOC 16 Corps reviews security, operational preparedness of Pir Panchal | KNO

Jammu, Nov 28 (KNO): General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Nagrota based White Knight Corps, also known as 16 Corps reviewed security and operational preparedness of troops deployed in Rajouri-Poonch sector. Accompanied by the GOC of the Counter Insurgency Force Romeo Force, GOC visited the Tain sector in Rajouri and held comprehensive briefings with senior military officers and ground commanders, discussing the current counter-terrorism operations and the security challenges posed by infiltrations in the area. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the visit was aimed at reviewing the prevailing security situation and assessing the operational preparedness of the forces stationed in the region. The senior officers also conducted field inspections, ensuring that the forces are equipped with the necessary resources and maintain the highest levels of operational readiness. The GOC of the White Knight Corps, while addressing the troops, exhorted all ranks to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and alertness, emphasizing the importance of vigilance while conducting counter-terrorism operations in such a critical sector. He highlighted that maintaining an unwavering focus on operational excellence is key to ensuring the safety and security of the region. The GOC CIF Romeo said that Indian Army is committed to maintain peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir and to ensuring that the forces remain at the forefront of national security efforts—(KNO)
